Our Partner and Head of Patent Department attended the Executive Committee Meeting of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), which was held on October 25-28, 2003, in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Next, Alicia Alvarez Berkenwald traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the Annual Meeting of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), held from October 30 to November 1, 2003.

Luis Mariano Genovesi will be present at the Congress of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property (ATRIP), to be held on August 4-6, 2003, in Tokyo, Japan.

Alicia Alvarez Berkenwald, Partner and Head of Patent Department, has recently lectured in the Intensive Postgraduate IP Course from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. The course was held from July 29 to 30, 2003.

Alicia conducted the workshop on drafting and analysis of patent documents.

The course aimed to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to professionals, businessmen, administrative and judicial employees on Argentine Industrial Property Law, Industrial Property Protection in the Mercosur and in International Conventions.

The Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) will take place on May 3-7, 2003. The organization will celebrate its 125º Anniversary outside the United States, in Amsterdam.

Alicia Alvarez Berkenwald and Pedro Berkenwald will participate in the event, which will congregate representatives from more than 160 different countries. The encounter will consist of an excellent opportunity to discuss issues related to trademarks and to establish contact with colleagues from around the world.
