Pedro is partner of BERKEN IP and an attorney-at-law. He began his career in 1976, primarily in the field of business law.

Since then and up to date he has worked close to the legal departments of important Argentine and international companies. Pedro has ample knowledge of all the legal aspects related to manufacturing and service businesses. He has participated in countless mergers, splits, acquisitions and due diligences.

His understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is remarkable. For over three decades he has advised companies operating in this field regarding all business legal aspects, providing counsel on regulations, protection of products and processes, launching of new products into the market and their distribution.

Pedro's IP practice includes negotiation and drafting of licensing, franchising and technology transfer contracts. He also advises on patent enforcement and litigation in the fields of chemistry, pharmacy and biotechnology.

Among his remarkable qualities are his capability for teamwork and his will to generate effective negotiation environments that lead to dispute resolution.

Pedro is acknowledged as a trained and determined lawyer, of great conceptual clarity and precision in his convictions, skilled at finding innovative solutions to complex situations.

Recently, he was recognized by IAM (Intellectual Asset Management) as a leading technology licensing lawyer in the “IAM 250 listing – The World’s Leading Patent & Technology Licensing Lawyers 2010.”

He received his Law Degree (1975) from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and is also a registered Patent and Trademark Agent at the National Institute of Industrial Property.
